The ownership of “Caractère“, a high-end brand that has been part of the women’s clothing brand of the Miroglio Group of Alba for about thirty years, changes hands. A reality that over the years has prided itself on testimonials such as Carla Bruni, Valeria Mazza, Helena Christensen and Eva Riccobono, reaching its customers through a sales network that today supports a dozen owned stores with about 200 shops present throughout Italy.
As part of the corporate reorganization promoted by the company management, the brand belonging to the Miroglio Fashion division has now been sold to Baw Srl of Milan, a subsidiary of the Sicilian Bucalo group, already owner of brands such as Maria Grazia Severi and Plein Sud and protagonist, in the early 2000s, of the acquisition and then the relaunch of Facis, another historic Piedmontese clothing brand, in this case for men’s fashion.
With the sale, the transfer under the new ownership, by 1 July next, of the owned shops, of a production structure inside the company complex in via Santa Barbara in Alba and of the workers currently employed in the business branch was envisaged: 64 people including sales staff, fashion designers, pattern makers and technical employees.
The agreement provides for the maintenance of current employment levels and the contractual prerogatives currently held by employees, who will continue to work in their current offices.
